Meet Penny
Partnerships have shaped my life. I am a twin, I have been with my partner for 40 years and together we have raised four children. Partnerships can enrich and enable us to be more than we are capable of being on our own.
For me, the key to a life well lived, is to learn how to have supportive relationships with work colleagues, friends, and family. Our brains need social connection like our bodies need breath.
Supporting each other means we really listen to each other, and this quality of attunement equips us to face life’s challenges with courage knowing we are not alone.
My early work experience was in retail where I specialised in coaching and development. I studied psychology and psychotherapy at an advanced level. I continually invest in my personal development, and I have a keen interest in neuroscience and the nervous system.
I particularly like to work with teenagers and families. Adolescence is a rich and intense period of our lives which can feel turbulent and unstable. I bring maternal warmth to this transitional life stage. I am also a trained parent coach and can support parents to better understand and respond to their teenager’s sometimes perplexing behaviour.
